The Estate Trentham: Inspired by Scandinavian interiors & natural materials

Okay so this isn’t somewhere I am going to be able to visit for some time, being half-way across the world from me, but I just had to share it with you all because I’m in love with this house. It embodies everything I adore about natural, country living.

During my daily scroll through the rabbit hole that is Instagram, I came across the account of interior designer Lynda Gardener. Lynda runs The Estate Trentham, just one hour from Melbourne, Australia. The Estate Trentham combines a house, barn and garden and is available to hire for accommodation and events. If I hadn’t already gotten married last year, I think I’d be tempted to drag my entire family half-way across the world for this venue – it’s that pretty!

Lets take a peek inside…

The house is inspired by Scandinavian interiors, with fresh white walls and dark floors, complemented by natural wood furniture, a mix of old and new curated collections from flea markets, and country finds. Overlooking a beautiful herb garden and a mini orchard, here you can sink into the wall-to-wall sofas to relax next to the wood fire in winter, or open the double French doors to the natural garden and enjoy the aromas in the summer.

You can find out more on Lynda’s Instagram account and have a dose of inspiration when it’s needed.
