The Inviting Home of Danish Photographer Sofie Hammer

Sometimes I discover the work or home of another creative and am green with envy for their home style. But rather than be envious, (which is good for nothing), I’ve now learnt to push the envy aside and instead take inspiration from these talented people!

This is what happened when I found Danish photographer and visual content creator Sofie Hammer’s website. Sofie’s talents shine through in the way she has styled her home. Think earthy tones, an interesting blend of furniture and art, teamed with accessories by local crafts people. Right up my street! This home is all about the Hygge.

Originally from Copenhagen, Sofie and her family reside on the Danish island of Bornholm - enjoying "the everyday gift of nature, the sea and tranquillity".

Lets step inside…

Mix natural materials such as wood and bamboo with plenty of green plants and dried flowers, then finish off with beautiful textures such as organic cotton, linen and wool.

I admire the way Sofie sources furniture and accessories from small businesses and local makers. It not only gives her home a real warm feeling, but just shows that buying from artisans really improves the individuality of your overall home style.
